CONGRESSIONAL BRIEFING

Planning a congressional briefing, hosted by Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin for late summer. The goal of the congressional briefing is to bring together and educate policy makers and regulators on the critical unmet need of SCI. 

We are honored to have Dr. Janet Woodcock, M.D., former Principal Deputy Commissioner and former Acting Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and former Director of the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER).  Amongst being one of the most impactful and influential leaders in the history of the FDA, Dr. Janet Woodcock, played a key role in the development and implementation of the FDA’s Accelerated Approval pathway, established in 1992. In addition to her nearly 25 years as the Director of Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, (CDER) Dr. Woodcock introduced new initiatives to improve the timeliness and transparency of FDA procedures, and the safety, quality and effectiveness of drugs.
